About FirstCheck
FirstCheck is a Framer template for early-stage venture firms, micro-funds, and angel syndicates. It shows founders your check size, sectors, portfolio, and partners at a glance, then gives them a clear way to pitch you. Designed by a former San Francisco VC.
The template was designed around a pure black page with charcoal cards and a mint accent. Cal Sans headlines sit over Geist, and full-bleed photography lives in rounded cards. The home page carries a rotating hero with founder captions, a fund overview with check size and sectors, stats, portfolio, team, founder testimonials that switch by portrait, thought pieces, an FAQ accordion, and a reusable pitch call to action.
It’s the right fit for an early-stage VC firm or micro-fund, a solo GP or angel syndicate, or a sector-focused fund that publishes its thinking. Add your portfolio, partners, and check size, and start taking pitches.
What makes FirstCheck different is the portfolio CMS. Each company records sector, stage, year, founders, HQ, check size, website, and a six-part investment story. Company pages credit the lead partner, and each partner profile lists the deals that partner led. Articles end with an author card linked to the team profile. The pitch form takes stage and sector, plus a deck link. The site uses three CMS collections: Portfolio, Team, and Thought Pieces. For custom-domain publishing with all three collections, choose Framer Pro or a higher plan that supports them. Desktop, tablet, and phone layouts are included.
